Rev. Chana Tetzlaff
Rev. Chana Tetzlaff

The Rev. Chana Tetzlaff began her service as Priest in Charge at Holy Cross in July 2017. Born and raised in California, Chana grew up in the church and was involved in ministry from a young age. She has two decades of leadership experience in a variety of positions at the parish, Diocesan, and Provincial levels. Chana began formal discernment for the priesthood in 2006 when she was running an inner-city youth group and training as a Stephen Minister, ministries through which she felt a distinct call to work with those who are spiritually hungry and searching to provide authentic space in which to connect with God’s healing love. Her greatest joys in ministry are simply to walk alongside people as they seek and follow Christ, to listen and discern with them as they strive to answer questions about God, and to form healthy communities that minister to and encourage one another through relationship with God. Chana is a cum laude graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of California at Davis. Prior to seminary, Chana worked as a marketer for a civil engineering firm. In her spare time, she can be found at a coffee house, soaking up the sun on the beach, or exploring local attractions and foodie hangouts. Chana lives in Wilmington with her husband, TJ, and their pet dogs, Molly and Momo.
